Elmhurst University Jazz Festival returns to in-person performances from February 24

Elmhurst University Jazz Festival is returning to live, in-person performances while offering live streams online. The 55th Annual Elmhurst University Jazz Festival runs February 24-27.

Headliners include New York’s Vanguard Jazz Orchestra (7:30 p.m. Feb. 26) and John Beasley’s MONK’estra (7:30 p.m. Feb. 25). Other guest artists include trumpeter and recording artist Wayne Bergeron, saxophonist and composer Denis DiBlasio and Grammy-nominated trombonist Steve Wiest who join the Elmhurst University Jazz Band (4:30 p.m. Feb. 27).

Student jazz bands from Harper College, College of DuPage, Roosevelt University, Purdue University and Michigan State University also perform beginning at noon Feb. 27.

Campus visitors will be required to wear a mask at all indoor events, regardless of their vaccination status. This requirement may change to reflect any new public health guidance.
