Inglewood Jazz Festival scheduled for August

INGLEWOOD – Taste of Inglewood Jazz Festival will take place over two days on August 6 and 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Permits and Licenses Committee will meet to approve the project, with the public able to call in to comment on the approval.

Taste of Inglewood is the brainchild of Planning Commissioner David Rice, who managed to develop the event through a strong partnership with the Town of Inglewood.

Approval typically includes the city’s vote to sponsor the event waiving the police fee and promotion.

The city currently has mutual aid agreements with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Hawthorne Police Department and CHP, which already provide support for Forum and SoFi Stadium events.

The public never receives details of the final cost to residents.

The event will take place at Centinela Park, most likely at the amphitheater, where concerts have been held in the past.

Their latest event, the Taste of Inglewood Big Game Festival, ran for three days over Super Bowl weekend. The event was safe and well attended. It was during the festival that the City presented Issa Rae with the key to the city.

Not much else is known about the event at this time, but you can sign up to receive updates at
