CHICAGO, Aug 13, 2020 / PRNewswire / – Home Assistance from Greater Chicago once again brings music and joy to the elderly who continue to be isolated by the coronavirus crisis. Building on a series of successful jazz concerts in June, the jazz musicians offer three concerts in the elderly communities of Chicagoland this Friday and Saturday.

In June, MASQ: Musicians Aiding Seniors in Quarantine, offered seven free concerts and received heartfelt thanks from senior residents and healthcare professionals. “The outdoor concert was all our assisted living facility needed,” said Katie schumacher, Director of Activities at Aspired Living in Prospect Heights, Illinois. “Music brings us together in so many ways, and I am grateful that our residents were able to safely listen to amazing music. “

Home Care Assistance is pleased to sponsor social music at social distance for the second time. Elderly people living in communities have been isolated for several months now in an effort to slow or prevent the deadly spread of COVID-19. At August 14th and 15, the MASQ will present outdoor shows at a safe distance from residents, in parking lots or outdoor terraces, and at a safe distance from each other.

The group organized by the drummer Ethan Kogan understand Chicago jazz musicians Paul Bedal, Rajiv halim, Joan hickey, John tate, Alejandro Urzagaste and Greg Ward. Ethan, who currently lives in New York City, shared the stage with prominent jazz vocals such as Wallace roney, Patti Austin, Joe lovano and Cassandra Wilson. Among his other accomplishments, Ethan was chosen to perform as a big band drummer for the GRAMMY Jazz Ensemble. (He is also the son of one of the owners of Home Care Assistance.)
