The return of the international jazz festival of “Note” Queen City Of The Sound

Note: Due to Saturday’s weather, this event has been rescheduled to October 8.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Downtown will be the destination for jazz lovers, hip cats and some of the world’s best musicians this Saturday – so start making plans to be part of the excitement.

The 2nd annual New Rochelle “Queen City of the Sound International Jazz Festival” will take place Saturday, October 8 from 1-6 p.m. The event, in partnership with the Global Jazz Community, will be an evening of music and entertainment highlighting the artistic and cultural influence of musicians and creators on the community.

The festival is free and open to the public with municipal parking and valet parking available onsite as well as a free circuit shuttle available for those parking further afield. Over 500 attendees are expected and are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to relax while listening to local musicians.

Musicians scheduled to perform include:

  • Three-time Grammy winner Oscar Hernandez and the Spanish Harlem Orchestra
  • David Lee Jones Quartet
  • Nanny Assis and the Brazilian experience
  • Mimi Jones/Global Jazz Community Allstar Women Band
  • Rocky Middleton Jazz Ensemble

The Queen City of the Sound International Jazz Festival will take place at Ruby Dee Park, located at 1 Library Plaza in New Rochelle.
